Our Services

Williams Woolf and Zuur is highly experienced in the areas of Property & Family Law, Estates & Wills, Litigation & Commercial Law.

With more than 100 years of combined post-admission experience between the three practitioners, there are few legal issues that we have not encountered. No problem is too big or too small for us to handle and we are committed to delivering first class service at a competitive rate.

Property Law

Buying or selling a residential or commercial property is for many people the most significant transaction they will ever make. Our property law and conveyancing experts will guide you through the issues involved in the sale or purchase of property, such as pre-contractual building and pest inspections, what happens once you enter a contract and what happens before, during and after the transaction.

Family Law

This is one of the most stressful areas of law and we try to reach equitable solutions so that neither party is unfairly treated. Sometimes a couple facing a marriage breakup can settle many issues by themselves, and we actively encourage this course where practical.

Family law issues cover maintenance (spouse and child), property (houses, furniture, cars, money, investments and superannuation) and divorce decree. We also advise on de facto relationships, pre-nuptial and general property agreements.

Estates & Wills

We have a wealth of experience in the area of estates and wills. Barry Woolf has many years of experience in this field and has advised on some extremely complex estate and wills issues over the years. Both Alex Zuur and Bronwyn Harvey are also experienced probate practitioners.

Litigation

Both Alex Zuur and Bronwyn Harvey are experienced litigation practitioners and have carriage of matters from the Local Court through to the High Court and all Courts in between. Our attitude is that no brief is too small or too complex.

Commercial Law

All businesses, large and small need legal advice at some point, whether it’s advice on business structures, company incorporations, dissolution of partnerships, purchase and sale of business, contract drafting, joint venture and partnership agreements, setting up a trust, or due diligence and corporate governance advice. Our commercial law area can assist with all matters related to the legal aspects of your business.

We must not make a scarecrow of the law,
Setting it up to fear the birds of prey,
And let it keep one shape, till custom make it
Their perch, and not their terror.
William Shakespeare, Measure for Measure, 1604
